Doctors Help Children in Need

Last Who-rah

davidtennantThere’ll be one last chance to see David Tennant as a Time Lord, it seems.  Tennant is slated to appear with all the other Doctors Who, even the dead ones, in a special, 15 minute short to help the BBC’s Children in Need charity fundraiser.  The mini-episode will air in the UK during the first episode starring Matt Smith, the 11th Doctor. No word on if this special will make it to the U.S.–I mean, without being uploaded to youtube…

This will be a historical moment for Dr. Who fans, as it will the first time all of the doctors will appear in the same episode.  As for Tennant fans, it will delay them missing him as Dr. Who for a few more months.

  1. I had a dream about David Tennant last night, no joke. It was really stupid, so I’ll spare you the details. Long story short, in my dream he wasn’t leaving Doctor Who of his own accord, and we were trying to get him reinstated (and I was trying to sleep with him). So wierd, because I haven’t thought of him or even watched old Doctor Who in about two weeks.

  2. News off his website…I would have sworn he was doing a couple more specials this year…this is better than nothing. Guess I need to get caught up on The Sarah Jane Adventures.

Most Doctor Who fans weren’t expecting to see David Tennant as The Doctor until November, but now it’s been revealed he’s going to star on CBBC first!
And it’s not just a brief return either – The Doctor will play a big role in a two-part story of The Sarah Jane Adventures.
The third series of the Sarah Jane Adventures will be back on the CBBC Channel for 12 weeks from September.
Doctor Who boss Russell T Davies said: “Viewers thought they may have to wait until November for the next full episode of Doctor Who, but this is an extra special treat.
“And it’s not just a cameo from David – this is a full on appearance for The Doctor as he and Sarah Jane face their biggest threat ever.”

  7. I’m just annoyed I can’t make a “thorny issue” pun, there’s nothing much you can do with that particular ancient character. 😐

  8. rl: Too bad, too. It’s Wednesday, the perfect time for a “thorny issue” pun.
