Afternoon Squee!
Squee! of Squee!: The sick doggeh edition
You’ve all seen Jake, the ridonkulously precious collie o’ mine. Our other dog, Charlie, was previously shunned from Afternoon Squee! because the hussie (half husky, half collie) flat out peed all over the train of my wedding gown…
…which I have yet to wear.
But we love our doggeh, so much so that we spent several hours and a huge chunk of change at the vet’s office yesterday when I came home to find the doggeh equivalent of a Jackson Pollack painting of feces and blood in our back hall.
Hey, he’s got good timing, right?
(He’s going to be fine – yay, doggeh!)

Why are the pups that cause the most trouble also the hardest to resist loving? Mine tore up the carpet. And ate holes out of the couch. And stripped the deck. And scratched through the door. And constantly peed the bed while sleeping with me…
And I loved her to death.
Yeah, the fact that this adorable doggie was sick is like the worst news of my day – that is so sad. I’m glad he’s better, and glad the dress is OK (can’t believe I didn’t see any meltdowns on the 6 oclock news about that).
Also doggies make me think of goggies, which make me think of Helen Skor. Where is she?

I’m sorry your doggie was sick. It is the crazy ones that make us love them the most, that’s for danged sure. And the Huskies are the craziest of them all. They’re like the Courtney Loves of the K9 world.
