True Houdini fades the pain sun in rhyme

True Houdini fades the pain sun in rhyme

A friend was recently forced to attend a very dull “government policy and procedure” type meeting.  In order to liven things up, her boyfriend (also a friend) began bombarding her with  IMs that rhymed with “Mussolini made the trains run on time,” and challenged me to join in. Always up for word play (and messing with people during meetings), I started coming up with as many rhymes as I could, but it was more difficult than I imagined.  I then mentioned this to Addicted to Addiction and she joined in the game and came up with some brilliant rhymes and inspired a couple more in me. They didn’t all make sense, but that wasn’t the point.

Our examples, starting with her three:

  • True Houdini fades the pain sun in rhyme.
  • Spiral Ziti splayed in rains spun with lime.
  • Mousey Minnie laid her reins fun for mine.
  • Appletini played her veins none with chime.
  • Cappellini frayed the canes done with prime.

We now invite you to join in the game–the rhyming game.  Although, feel free to bombard your friends with silly messages during meetings…
