Angry Black Lady Chronicles

Obama is a Bloody Mustard Eater

Good news, Americans!  The era of post-racial politics is over!  Our President, the Black Man himself, is an elitist! Apparently because he’s not throwing enough barbecues on the White House lawn, or doesn’t have enough homies coming over and hanging out drinking forties of Mickey’s in the Rose Garden, Fox News has only one recourse–to accuse Obama of being elitist.  So elitist, in fact, that he has transformed from “Some Black Guy” into “Bloody Elitist Chap”–an old white British dude in a Rolls Royce asking for Grey Poupon.  Looks like elitist is the new ghetto:

Holy crap, you guys.  It’s obvious that Obama is out of touch with the American people. “Real” Americans don’t eat Grey Poupon.

Except for the fact that they do— because it’s made by Kraft fucking Foods. You know, Kraft Mac and Cheese? Velveeta? Kraft singles? Is there any company that is more American than Kraft?

Sean Hannity, you are one of the biggest douchebags alive. Or dead.

  1. Isn’t it more elitist to not eat red meat? MAYBE you could make this case if he’d ordered a turkey burger, or requested that they use only kobe beef, or if any of them mentioned a ciabatta or panini. But mustard? No, dear Hannity, that’s not elitist.

  2. And I remember an episode of The Girls Next Door (don’t judge me) when one of the girls wanted a hotdog with regular mustard, and all the hot dog carts they went to in NYC only had dijon mustard. But oh, I forgot. NYC is elitist by default. My bad.

  3. Does anyone remember the original Grey Poupon commercials? The idea was that it was fancy – even though it wasn’t. I mean it’s not ACTUALLY fancy mustard – although I can’t say the same for all ketchup. You can get store brand dijon, and none of it is fancy. The Grey Poupon ad was tongue in cheek, and all this shows about Laura Ingraham is that she believes everything she sees in an ad campaign.

  4. BUT did he get CHIPS, or FRIES with that?!?

Reporters NEVER get the whole story.

I’d like to believe that he got a nice house salad.

  5. A SALAD?? But that would mean, in the minds of the rightwing pundits, that he is both elitist AND gay.

  6. Arugula is not a lettuce!!!
But seriously, this is all they got? They’re going to criticize him for getting mustard on his burger? Wow, no wonder they (the GOP)lost.

  9. I just want to know where this “legendary” Ray’s place is, because I work in Alexandria, VA, and I’ve never heard of it.

  10. AND!!!

What about this ordering CHEDDAR cheese on his burger??!!

I guess AMERICAN cheese isn’t good enough for MR. ELITIST over here.

Come ON Mr. Sean Hannity, do I have to do all the work?

  11. http://www.dcfoodies.com/2008/07/rays-hell-burge.html

That’s a link for the burger joint. I’d heard of the other Ray’s, but not the burger place. Either way, the review says it’s an upscale restaurant where you can get crazy elitist kinds of toppings. When you think about what Obama got compared to what he could have gotten, it’s pretty country.

  12. Judging only from the link: I bet that burger cost more than ten dollars. Elitist.

I’m going to stick with my Grilled Oprah Chicken, and I have a coupon.
