Something Else

ts-somethingelse8I was driving in a new neighborhood yesterday, and I went too far down the road. Once I realized it, I turned around at the next opportunity, which was actually a church’s parking lot.

Before I pulled into traffic, I looked up and – I’m not kidding – there was the church’s sign: “A Great Place To Turn Around.”

I can’t make this stuff up.

  1. Well, you can. But then we’d call it “fiction.”

    Or “a lie.”

But you’d never lie to us. Would you Sar? Would you?

  2. If I ever lie to you it’s by accident because I didn’t think before I spoke. I’m generally painfully honest – it’s one of the reasons I am so casually able to make others uncomfortable. I consider it a gift.

  3. One time when I was little me & my mom went on a short road trip. It was one of those little country 2 lane roads and we missed our turn, she slammed on the brakes and slid into this run down gas station with gravel & dirt flying around everywhere. We looked up at the sign & it said “Kurley’s quick stop”.

    Coincidence? I dont think so.

  4. Best church sign I ever saw (about 10 years ago)..

“Stop, Drop and Roll won’t help you in Hell.”

Yup, I live in the South. 😉
